#8 make a scrapbook for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary

101 Things in 1001 Days #8

My parents will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary in June 2009. I've decided to put my two favourite hobbies of photography and crafting together and make a scrapbook for them.

I've started off by getting some old photographs of me and my siblings when we were very young. I've never done scrapbooking before so it'll be a learning curve.

  1. Hello Allison,
This will be a priceless family heirloom. Good for you for doing this. I humbly suggest that you use a Creative Memories album. Most albums you find in a craft store are "post bound" albums. They have 3 "screws" in them. If you will notice, the plastic pages are held in with about 1/8 inch of very thin plastic, so it is just a matter of time before this album type falls apart. I have many people show be just this...they had done so much work at the album pages were tearing off.

The Creative Memories album is so different! First off, it has a LIFETIME guarantee. In addition, the edges of each page are reinforced, to keep out light and dirt. And the pages are held in with metal links...not thin plastic. There really is a huge difference.

You can view these at www.mycmsite.com/marycluley then "shop products" then "traditional scrapbooking" and "albums." If I can help you in any way, my email is lovefamilymemories@yahoo.com
    God bless always,
    Mary Cluley
